International Conference on Space Optics
October 9th-12th 2012
ICSO is the largest meeting worldwide of experts working in all disciplines of Optical Instrumentation, Optoelectronic and Photonic Technologies for Space Applications. The objective of this conference is to bring together the Space Optics Community and exchange information on new instruments developments (Imagers, Radiometers, Spectrometers, Lidars …) and ideas on the Research, Development, Qualification and Flight Experience of using optical technologies for space missions.
Technology experts meet Mission experts to address the lessons learnt from past developments and identify the next significant developments in employing lightwave technologies and techniques used in all types of Space Missions.
New in 2012 : ICSO and ICSOS (International Conference on Space Optical Systems and applications) will be co-located in Ajaccio Corsica. ICSOS is a conference dedicated principally to intersatellite laser links. Joint session/s with an emphasis on optical laser telecommunication will be held.

ICSO 2012 is the 9th conference of the series co-organised by CNES and ESA every two years and follows the ones recently held in:
- Rhodes, Greece in 2010
- Toulouse, France in 2008
ICSO maintains a permanent web-based resource where the Proceedings of all previous ICSO conferences (from 1991 to nowdays) are held.
